A process for producing a pipe or a tube with an inserted base, starting with a tubular sleeve and a platelet of thermoplastic material. In this process, a platelet (2), with dimensions somewhat smaller than the sleeve cross-section, is inserted into the interior of the sleeve (1) in the region of one of its ends, the circumferential region (11) of the platelet (2) and that section (12) of the sleeve (1) located between the platelet (2) and the adjacent end of the sleeve (1) are heated locally, the heated section of the sleeve (1) is pressed down onto the heated circumferential section (11) of the platelet (2) and pressed against it. The platelet may be provided with additional elements. The process can be carried out with any cross-section of the tubular sleeve (1) and with different materials for platelet (2) and sleeve (1). <IMAGE> |
