摘要 A magnetic recording material contains a substrate and a magnetic recording layer formed thereon and produced from a magnetic coating material essentially comprising a magnetic powder dispersed in a binder, where the coating material contains a titanium adhesive. The magnetic powder is coated with the adhesive or mixed with the adhesive and then dispersed in the binder. The binder is prepared by mixing and plasticating a radiation-sensitive modified synthetic resin with a radiation-sensitive, soft synthetic resin and then subjecting the mixture to radiation-crosslinking and polymerisation. The process for the preparation of the magnetic clay carrier comprises coating the magnetic powder with the titanium adhesive, mixing the coated particles with the binder to give a magnetic coating material and then applying the material to the substrate. Alternatively, the process comprises mixing the titanium adhesive with the magnetic powder, mixing the resultant mixture with the binder and then applying the resultant coating material to the substrate. The titanium adhesive is used in an amount of from 0.5 to 7 % by weight, preferably from 0.5 to 3 % by weight, based on the weight of the magnetic powder.
