<p>Copies of the medical microfilm are carried on the person or in a prominent place in a motor vehicle, and contain full medical information which facilitates emergency treatment by providing full medical background to emergency staff. The microfilm carries administrative data such as family doctor, authorisations for treatment, name address, next of kin etc. and also medical data such as blood group, age, weight, allergies, diabetes, adverse reactions to medication, vaccination history, medical operations, organ donar authorisations, and the like. The microfilm is read using microfilm readers widely installed not only in hospitals but in schools, public buildings, ambulances. The microfilm is updated by the body giving treatment and returned to the owner.</p> |
