<p>The feed and discharge method is for passing bulk materials from ships to silos on land. An unloading conveyor is used, fed by an articulated arm with a mechanical shovel. This is connected to the ship and driven from the ships bridge to pass bulk material to the pick-up point for the unloading conveyor. A bucket can pass the material from the hold to a hatch. It deposits it on one side at a funnel under the level of the hatch at the conveyor pick-up point. The arm carries a scraper blade at its end.</p> |
