The plate shears have a frame (1) to which a bottom blade (9) is fastened, the cutting edge (10) of which runs parallel to a horizontal bearing surface (4). A blade bar (12) with a top blade (16) is pivotable about an axis (11) which runs parallel to the cutting edge of the bottom blade (9). A separate hold-down device (13) is pivotable about the same axis (11) as the blade bar (12) having the top blade. This results in a constructionally simple design and facilitates assembly. <IMAGE> |
