A lifting hook, which is made from an S-shaped flat piece of metal and is closed by a U shaped arm (2). This is attached to the hook by a pivot (8) and fits over both sides of the hook. - The U shaped arm is locked by a spring loaded catch (7) which is also U shaped and mounted on a pivot (9). Rotating the catch against the spring force enables the edge (11) to clear the shoulder (14) and allow the U shaped arm to be pressed inwards to open the hook.(1/16) |
