A rake tedder (1), which is intended to be arranged in front of the pick-up device (2) of a self-loading hay truck (3), comprises a plurality of tines (21) which are arranged in groups and which are movable in endless tracks, in order to bring together hay or another crop lying on the ground, to form a relatively narrow swath in front of the pick-up device. So that the rake tedder takes effect within a relatively wide zone, it comprises two rake units (10a, 10b), the tines (21) of which move on elongate paths which each extend essentially at right angles to the direction of travel of the hay truck and which form mutual extensions of one another. The rake tedder thereby acquires a larger extension in the transverse direction than is desirable, and in order to overcome this disadvantage, the two rake units (10a, 10b) are respectively pivotable upwards about essentially horizontal pivot axes (12) which are approximately parallel to the direction of travel of the hay truck. <IMAGE> |
