PURPOSE:To prevent fluctuation of the fuel supply rate against change in the viscosity of fuel caused by change in the temperature of fuel, by reducing the pressure difference on the opposite sides of a second metering jet for metering the fuel flow rate in a variable venturi carburetor. CONSTITUTION:A metering jet 21 has a first metering jet 24 and a second metering jet 25 disposed in series with proper spacing from each other, and an annular pressure-regulating chamber 27 is formed between these two metering jets 24 and 25. A fuel outlet port 30 is formed at the lower end portion of an annular member constituting the second metering jet 25 in the manner that it is extended through the annular member, and the bottom of the annular pressure-regulating chamber 27 is communicated with a nozzle 23 through the fuel outlet port 30. Thus, since the pressure difference on the opposite sides of the second metering jet 25 is reduced, it is enabled to increase the flow area of fuel at the second metering jet 25 and hence to minimize fluctuation of fuel flow. |
