PURPOSE:To surely suck and separate a sheet of paper, by turning a sheet sucking section after the suction of the sheet to pull up the edge of the sheet and by applying downward pressure to a part of the sheet at the time of the pulling- up. CONSTITUTION:In a device for sucking a sheet of paper by air, the uppermost 39' of plural sheets of paper 39 set on a paper feed rest 40 is sucked up by a sucking force caused in a sucking section 5, so that the uppermost sheet is delivered to a sheet conveyor 41 comprising pinch-holding members. The sucking section 5 communicates with an air sucking box 1 through a flexible duct 3. A pressure roller 16 is provided adjacently to the sucking section 5 so that the roller can be moved down by a distance of l through a latch 26, an angle 23, an arm 22 and a slider 21 when a solenoid 25 is energized. The whole device can be turned in the direction of an arrow E about a fulcrum on the point of contact of the roller 16 with the paper 39' when it is sucked by the sucking section 5. |
