An organic reinforcing and armouring material based on synthetic and natural carbon polymers, with and without functional groups, in particular based on polyalkenyl having tertiary carbon atoms, modified by a content of catalysts, organic and/or inorganic or inorganic-organic silicon (IV) compounds and dry cement powder, has been found which can be incorporated into wet concrete and can be converted into mouldings (shaped articles) and appears to be an organic substitute for asbestos in respect of setting (strength values).
