Liquid detergent compositions

Heavy-duty liquid detergent compositions containing amine oxide or alkanol amide surfactant, alcohol polyethoxylate sulfate surfactant, anionic sulfonate surfactant, water- soluble detergency builder and water, and having a reserve alkalinity of greater than about 2.5. The compositions provide superior cleaning for greasy/oily soils from fabrics at the high reserve alkalinity.
