Highly concd. xtnthan gum slurries were obtained by using a solvent contg. dispersants, thinning agents, mineral oil, alcohols, and esters. Thus, stirring a mixt. of octyl alcohol 24.60, MeOH 2.50, hydroxypropyl cellulose 0.25, ethylene glycol monobuthyl ether 0.30, diesel oil 21.50, lecithin 0.86, and xanthan gum 50.00% gave a uniform slurry.
