PURPOSE:To accurately and easily detect the top dead center of an engine, by utilizing a ring gear so as to obtain a signal of the top dead center. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic pick up 12 mounted to a clutch housing 10 outputs a ring gear signal. A value of preset data is given to a CPU21 by a gear quantity digital switch 31, and a counter circuit counts the ring gear signal and outputs a simulated signal of the top dead center. If the timing of the top dead center of an engine does not agree with the output timing of the simulated signal of the top dead center, the simulated position of the top dead center is automatically renewed by operating a top dead center switch 30 and an angle correction digital switch 35, thus the output timing of the simulated signal of the top dead center is allowed to coincide with the timing of top dead center of the engine. |
