The circuit arrangement for indicating especially the residual heat of a cooking hob of a cooking oven contains a ceramic PTC thermistor (2), an electromechanical or electronic thermal switch (3) thermally coupled to it, a warning element (4) which is connected to voltage via the thermal switch (3), and, in addition, a resistor (5) which is connected in series with the PTC thermistor (2) when the thermal switch (3) is closed, and the series circuit consisting of the PTC thermistor (2) and the resistor (5) is connected in parallel with the warning element (4). <IMAGE>
