The invention concerns a method of producing a surface layer of great strength in dry ceramic lining material for the lining of ovens and inductors. The method is characterised by a template (2) being placed in the oven, the inductor (1) etc; the gap around the template is filled with pulverized lining material (6), for example, by it being pressed in; the template's (2) external and/or internal surface is then supplied with a binding and/or sintering agent, which enters a surface layer of the lining material (6); this is activated by means of induction heating, and a hard surface layer is formed in the lining material.<IMAGE> |
