ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC COPYING MACHINE

摘要

PURPOSE:To enhance transfer efficiency and cleaning efficiency by installing a single illumination lamp used for both of a pre-transfer illumination lamp and a pre-cleaning illumination lamp in a copying machine using a photosensitive belt, and leading its light to a transfer region and a cleaning region to illuminate these regions from the reverse side of the belt. CONSTITUTION:A single illumination lamp 12 used for pre-transfer and precleaning illumination is located near a driving roll 2 and in a loop of a photosensitive belt 1. A light intercepting plate 13 is arranged behind the lamp 12 to prevent leakage of a part of light toward a developing unit 11. The light emitted from the lamp 12 is guided to 2 paths with each independent light guide means 14 to the reverse side of a transfer corotron 9 and a cleaning unit 11 to illuminate the belt 1 from the reverse side. Transfer efficiency and cleaning efficiency can be enhanced by guiding the light emitted from a single illumination lamp 12 to transfer and cleaning regions through the light guide means 14 of plural light paths and illuminating them from the reverse side of the photosensitive belt 1.
