A flow controller in an air-conditioning system has a control flap (3) which is held in a position more or less closing the flow cross-section, against the force exerted on it by the flow, by a spring (4) which is attached to a rod (7) which is displaceable backwards and forwards. For alteration of its control parameter over a greater range, this flow controller receives at least one further spring (4') engaging on the control flap and attached to a further rod (7'). The further rod (7') is loose in a forward position of the first rod (7) and is held fast by a dog (20) only during a rearward displacement of the first rod (7). <IMAGE>
