It is occasionally impossible for design reasons to pivot the luminaire cover (e.g. the louvre) directly out of the housing. In these cases, the cover is firstly drawn downwards vertically and then held on the housing by springs. The subject matter of the invention is a holder which permits the cover (3) to be withdrawn, as well as permitting it to be subsequently pivoted away and also permitting complete detachment in which a proper chassis earth connection between the cover and housing is always guaranteed. This purpose is served by an approximately M-shaped support spring (4) which is guided in the luminaire housing (1) and is coupled to the edge region of the cover (3) by means of angled bearing arms (411). <IMAGE>
