A boat combination is described which consists of two boats which can be used independently. The (larger) mother boat serves as a houseboat and/or bathing boat without a separate propulsion motor. The (smaller) daughter boat is equipped with a powerful motor which allows high-speed operation of the daughter boat, e.g. for water-ski towing operation. In the combination of both boats, the daughter boat serves as a propulsion device for the boat combination at a low travelling speed. The motor can then also be operated from a cockpit on the mother boat. The coupling mechanism enables the boat pilot to couple both boats without external aid. <IMAGE>
