PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress deterioration of emission, during increment correction of a fuel injection amount after fuel cut operation of the internal combustion engine is ended.SOLUTION: A controller of an internal combustion engine executes fuel cut for suspending fuel injection, with establishment of a fuel cut condition, and ends fuel cut with establishment of a fuel cut end condition and further performs increment correction of a fuel injection amount. During increment correction, the controller changes a target value of an air fuel ratio of gas flowing into a catalyst according to the flow rate of gas flowing from a cylinder into a catalyst for exhaust emission control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
