A mobile spray apparatus for discharging chemicals onto plants (43) growing in parallel rows, especially in wine- and fruit-growing, comprises a vehicle chassis (30) with at least one dead axle (31) and wheels (32). On the chassis (30) there is a tank (1) for holding water and chemical liquor, which are atomised with the aid of atomising nozzles and swirled onto the rows of plants (43) by means of an air stream generated by a fan. The tank (1) comprises a continuous central longitudinal duct. The fan - seen in the direction of travel of the spray apparatus - is inserted in the front of the longitudinal duct. The air flow blown through the longitudinal duct passes into an air conduit box (33) mounted at the rear, having lateral air outlet slots (34) which direct the air onto the rows of plants (43) at an angle of about 45 DEG . Part of the air, via a transverse stack (35) arranged at the upper end of the vertical air stack (33), is conducted via a first rotary passage (36) each, an arm stack (37) each and a further rotary passage (38) each into air distributors (39) extending downwards. The air distributors (39) similarly have lateral air slots (40), which are directed backwards at an angle of about 45 DEG and which guide the discharged air onto the rows of plants (43). <IMAGE>
