The invention relates to an apparatus for twisting especially corrugated bent flat springs which, laid next to and above one another, form a stack, thereby providing, in addition to a high operating reliability, the preconditions for complete automation in the production of flat springs, together with an increase in work productivity. The object is achieved essentially by a plate-like basic body in the manner of a twisting head with correspondingly designed guide slots which receive straight free wire ends and twist them, with the result that a compact flat-spring stack is obtained. By means of the invention, especially flat-spring stacks of different dimensions and shapes, enclosed by the binding wire, can be twisted by means of one apparatus. <IMAGE>
