Automated device intended for applying infrared laser beams to adipose tissues for the purpose of cosmetic treatment of the body. It is constituted by the combination of a camera 6 and an infrared diode laser 12 which each move on rails, 5, 10. The camera has a photosensitive matrix sensor which transmits a digitised output signal to the computer 15 which has an analysis program which generates false colours and a light pen 16 for directing the movement of the laser. It allows assessment of the degree of vascularisation of the adipose tissues, to locate them, and to subject them to the effect of the infrared lasers, as well as monitoring of the localised changes carried out. <IMAGE>
