摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly control a defect position of a standard sample, by forming a hole of a fixed shape on a thermoplastic resin stage molded of resin, introducing artificial defect formation particles in the hole, adding a thermoplastic resin and pressuring, molding the resin in a molding apparatus. SOLUTION: Approximately 42 pieces of dents are formed in a row via an interval of approximately 0.1 mm with the use of a microscope of a microhardness meter on a thermoplastic transparent acrylic resin stage 31 molded beforehand by a resin- molding apparatus. Alumina particles of particle sizes of about 1, 5, 10... 95, 100 &mu;m are sequentially put in about 21 pieces of dents of a first and a second parts. Every one particle is put in each dent. Then, a thermoplastic transparent acrylic resin is added and molded at a temperature of about 180 deg.C with a pressure of about 150 kgf/mm<2> by the resin-molding apparatus. After the resin is cooled, the base is ground and adjusted so that a distance between an ultrasonic incident face of the first, second part and the alumina particle becomes a designated distance, and a side face is ground, whereby the stage is formed in a rectangular parallelopiped. In this manner, a standard sample having a distance between the ultrasonic incident face and an artificial defect and a position of the artificial defect correctly controlled is produced.
