A method and a device for detecting knocking in internal-combustion engines is proposed, in which the signal emitted by a knocking sensor (200) is filtered via a knocking filter (202) and the envelope of this filtered knocking signal is determined by sampling (207) in order to feed it to a microcomputer (210).
