This device comprises a receptacle 6 intended to contain the pulverulent product, mounted on the chassis 2 of a vehicle and equipped at its lower end with a valve 12, under which is mounted a device 15 for spreading the product which, terminated at its lower end by two flexible flaps 26, 28 which are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the direction of displacement of the apparatus and delimiting a product discharge zone, may be moved vertically between a position in which the flaps are located above the ground level and a position in which the flaps rest on the ground.
