The invention relates to a process for producing very readily adhering, thin, pore-free plastics coatings on metal surfaces. To this end, solutions of starting materials for special plastics are preferably chosen which cause the least possible power losses in high frequency applications and are used for coating by immersion. Subsequently, polymerisation is effected by a posttreatment.
