Thread-monitoring device on pile-thread bobbins of a creel, especially of double carpet-weaving machines. The aim of the invention is the monitoring of individual pile warp threads, an improvement in the quality of the final product and an increase in work productivity. The object of the invention is achieved in that there is arranged a force-loaded thread-guide bar which is movable parallel and at right angles to the bobbin axis of the pile-thread bobbin and which is provided with limiting pieces and extends over the entire width of the pile-thread bobbin, and in that position-recognition devices are arranged in its range of movement. The thread-guide bar is advantageously an integral part of a yoke, the axis of rotation of which is approximately identical to that of the pile-thread bobbin. The invention is used on pile-thread bobbins of bobbin creels, especially those for double carpet-weaving machines.
