The aerating screw (in accordance with drawing part No. 2) is screwed into the casing of the beer barrel aerator (in accordance with drawing part No. 1) and is sealed off with an O-ring made of buna N plastic. The pressing nut (in accordance with drawing part No. 3) sits movably on the casing (part No. 1). The whole assembly forms an optical unit in the screwed together condition. If the beer barrel aerator has, together with its conventional rubber seal (in accordance with drawing part No. 4), been driven firmly into the beer barrel and is now to be pulled out, the pressing nut (in accordance with drawing part No. 3) is rotated towards the wall of the beer barrel. Then a one-arm open-jawed spanner (DIN 894) is placed on the milled surfaces SW 27 of the pressing nut (part No. 3). When the spanner is rotated clockwise, the pressing nut presses the beer barrel aerator out of the beer barrel. Then the pressing nut (part No. 3) is screwed back, the rubber seal (part No. 4) is pulled off by hand and the shape of the beer barrel aerator, which formerly had the appearance of a coherent whole, is restored. <IMAGE>
