Volume control of broadcast receivers in motor vehicles

The patent application relates to a circuit arrangement for automatically controlling the volume of broadcast receivers in motor vehicles with a variable resistor disposed in the loudspeaker line, which resistor is controlled according to the vehicle speed. It is provided according to the invention that a signal dependent on the vehicle speed is fed to an amplification and transformation stage and that the resulting pulses are fed to a control circuit and a counting and storage unit and that the storage unit controls actuators disposed in the loudspeaker line via relays. A significant advantage is that, with the novel circuit arrangement, a compact, noise-resistant ancillary device can be implemented to provide a broadcast receiver or a receiving installation in a motor vehicle with a volume control. This ancillary device can be connected simply and without intervention into the broadcast receiver itself.
