The present invention consists of a lid shaped as a building block with fittings that are compatible with standard fittings of building blocks marketed under the trade names Lego, Lego Duplo or other similar trade names that are compatible with the former, and of the uses of this lid and of methods for producing this lid. More specifically, the present invention relates to a lid shaped as a building block, comprising a side wall (1) provided with an element for securing the lid to the package being closed (14), the top surface (2) having an inside wall (2-i) and an outside wall (2-e), a lid base (3), one or more male pins (4) and one or more female sockets (5) with their respective longitudinal axes oriented substantially parallel to the inside of the side wall (1), one or more male pins (4) having an outer diameter (DE) of 4.8 ± 0.1 mm, 6.5 ± 0.1 mm or 9.4 ± 0.2 mm, and the one or more female sockets (5) having an inside diameter (DI) of 4.8 ± 0.1 mm, 6.5 ± 0.1 mm or 9.4 ± 0.2 mm. |
