A luminaire having a high-power lamp arranged in a metal luminaire jacket at one end of which there is held an installation part made from aluminium which supports inside the luminaire a ballast, an igniter and capacitors, achieves a better and more uniform dissipation of heat without slots in the luminaire jacket due to the fact that the ballast (3) is surrounded by a metal frame (7) which, on the one hand, bears against metal parts of the ballast (3) and, on the other hand, has planar mounting plates (8, 9) which can be placed against the installation part (2) and, at a substantial distance therefrom, against the luminaire jacket (1), which has closed side walls, and fastened there. <IMAGE> |
