PURPOSE:To ensure that sublimabilities of coloring matters mixed accord with each other, by providing a coloring material layer comprising a plurality of sublimable coloring matters of respectively specified structural formulas. CONSTITUTION:A black-colored transfer sheet is produced by mixing a yellow coloring matter of formula I, a magenta coloring matter of formula II and a cyan coloring matter of formula III, in consideration of the molar absorptivities and sublimabilities of the coloring matters, so that the color densities on recording accord with each other. In the formulas, each of X and Y is hydrogen or methyl, A is -CO-, -COO- or -SO2-, and each of R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, R<4>, R<5> and R<6> is hydrogen or subst. or unsubst. alkyl. The amounts of the yellow coloring matter, the magenta coloring matter and the cyan coloring matter used are preferably 10-50%, 10-50% and 30-80%, respectively. To produce the transfer sheet, the coloring matters are dissolved or minutely dispersed in a medium together with a binder to prepare an ink, which is applied to a base film, followed by drying. Accordingly, since the transfer sheet having a coloring material layer comprising a mixture of coloring matters which are easily sublimable and the sublimabilities of which accord with each other, it is made possible to record with high color density at high speed without burdening a thermal head. |
