PURPOSE:To improve the corrosion resistance of the case of a wrist watch by forming a film by a CVD method on a sprayed film formed on a blank for the case so that the pinholes in the sprayed film are filled. CONSTITUTION:A sprayed film 2 of ceramics or the like is formed on a blank 1 for the case of a wrist watch, and a film 4 of TiN or the like having several mum thickness is formed on the sprayed film 2 by a CVD method. The pinholes 3 in the film 2 are filled by the formation of the film 4. Even when the pinholes are microscopic, they are effectively filled. The film 4 has high adhesion and provides superior corrosion resistance to the case of a wrist watch. |
