The invention relates to an item of games and sports equipment in the form of an elongated floating body, the top side of which is designed with regard to shape and size as a reclining surface for a person. Such an item of equipment has hitherto been known as an air mattress. Troublesome aspects of an air mattress, however, are the lack of dimensional stability and the relatively large expenditure of force required for propulsion. This expenditure of force can be attributed, among other things, to the uncomfortable position of the person during paddling and to the unfavourable shape of the air mattress. In contrast, these disadvantages are removed in the item of games and sports equipment according to the invention owing to the fact that the floating body is at least approximately dimensionally stable and that the part extending into the water is formed with a smooth surface and in a fluidically advantageous manner like the hull of a boat.
