摘要 The present invention relates to the use of a material known as a heat-insulating material for producing gas-static bearings. The ceramic material known per se is produced by sintering a mixture of ceramic base composition and particles which can be burnt out, with exclusion of air and subsequent burning-out of the particles, which can be burnt out, considerably below the sintering temperature. The use of fibrous starting materials is possible and increases the strength of the bearing being formed. Layers of different porosity can be produced without problems; this is important since the surface layer at the gas outlet surface should be denser than the remaining base material.
