The invention relates to a device for packaging a record carrying a recording on at least one of its faces. The device comprises a sleeve formed of two semi-circular portions 10 and 12 which fit into one another over the record 13, and inside which is delimited the space for housing the record 13, and which are provided with notches 22, 23, 24, 25 which, when sealing up the device over the record, form a hole aligned with the hole 21 of the record 13, so that the packaging device can be placed with the record on the turntable of a record player and enable the record 13 to be played while withdrawing the portions 10 and 12 one after the other without having to touch it and whilst cleaning it. The invention applies in particular to the packaging of conventionally played records and/or laser-read disks. <IMAGE>
