The invention relates to the emergency brake accelerator acting in an air brake system and to the control device of an electromagnetic rail brake. The object of the invention is to devise a solution for the interaction of an emergency brake accelerator with a control device for an electromagnetic rail brake by their special design and their pneumatic coupling, in which the emergency braking sensitivity is increased and the emergency brake accelerator and control device are activated virtually simultaneously. According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the emergency brake accelerator is equipped with an element monitoring the additional air connection to the main air line, the control chamber of which element is connected by way of a line to the control device, likewise with specially designed details.
