Support for bridge frames on bogies that is used for rail vehicles, especially for rail cranes. The aim of the invention is an advantageous effect on the carrying capacity and the safety of crane operation on a transversely inclined track. The object is to create a support that permits changes in the angle between the bridge frame and the bogies, and which prevents additional lateral forces. The side support is provided by means of power units and pairs of slide friction blocks. According to the invention, support levers are mounted on the bridge frame with their fulcrum in the pivot of the swivel ring. The tops of the slide friction blocks are fastened to the ends of the support levers. The power units are hinged to the bridge frame between it and the support lever. The power units can be linked functionally to or isolated from one another, depending on the respective step in the operation, as required. In a further design variant, the support lever is of two-piece construction. <IMAGE>
