PURPOSE:To improve toughness as well as ductility by subjecting a maraging steel in which Mo-rich zone and Ni3Ti are dispersed in superfine state into a uniform martensite-phase matrix to solution heat treatment at the prescribed temp. CONSTITUTION:This maraging steel contains <=5% Mo, and, in this steel, Mo- rich zone and Ni3Ti are dispersed in a superfine state of <1,000Angstrom into the matrix of uniform martensite phase. Moreover, this steel has a metallic structure in which Fe2Mo and Fe2Ti are dissipated. This steel is subjected to solution-heat and aging treatments at 880-1,000 deg.C. |
