A safety device for rolling shutter doors, rolling grilles, sliding doors, lift-away shutter doors or the like provided with a drive comprises an elastically deformable termination rail which is arranged at least on the main closing edge and by means of which the drive is switched off or reversed, by a control unit, when an obstacle is hit. In order to ensure that the safety device operates independently of damage to the elastic connection strip and, nevertheless, the drive is switched off or reversed when an obstacle is hit, there are arranged in the termination rail (4) at least one inwardly directed light source (8, 9) and a light-sensitive resistor (10) which is assigned to said light source, at a distance therefrom, and is connected to the control unit (13). <IMAGE> |
