The knee joint 24 carrying the gripper component 26 in a remote manipulator is mounted at the end of the slave arm by a disconnectable connection device 28 comprising a sealed connector 30. This connector 30 comprises a connection ring 46 connected to the end segment 22b of the arm and to the knee joint 24 by two bayonet links 50, 82. The connector 30 also comprises a connection plate 48 mounted in a sealed and revolving fashion inside the ring 46. This plate 48 is rotationally immobilised with respect to the segment 22b and to the knee joint 24 by two rods 62, 64, and it is traversed, in a sealed fashion, by sections of revolving shafts 68 for transmitting movement to the gripper. <IMAGE>
