An additive for non-aqueous liquid electrolyte and a secondary battery using the same is provided to form an SEI film with superior thermal stability and lithium ion conductivity on the negative electrode surface by using a compound introduced with at least one electron withdrawing group and a silyl group as a electrolyte additive for forming the SEI film. An electrolyte including an electrolyte salt and electrolyte solvent comprises a compound introduced with at least one electron withdrawing group(EWG) and a silyl group, as a compound capable of forming the solid electrolyte interface(SEI) film on the negative electrode surface of a battery. The electrode is formed with the solid electrolyte interface(SEI) formed by electrical reduction of a compound introduced with at least one electron withdrawing group and a silyl group, on the part or whole of the surface.
