For producing marzipan fruits a pair of moulding boards (13, 14) are provided with means (19) to cut a volume of marzipan from a slab of material of preset thickness rolled between spacer bars (17, 18), which volume accurately matches the volume required for rolling in the groove (16) defined between the boards (13, 14).
