Device for compressing a compressible material packed in an air-impermeable casing, for example a plastic sack. It is the primary object of the invention to compress such a material as has a tendency to be air-carried, for example asbestos fibres. What characterizes the device of the invention is that it comprises an outer container (1), a bag (5) of air-impermeable material placed within the container (1), said bag (5) being anchored at its bottom to the container (1) which has an opening (8) for supply and discharge of air in the space between the container (1) and the bag (5). Moreover, a perforated plate (4) ensuring air passage between the container (1) and the bag (5) is arranged in the container (1). |
