PURPOSE:To improve durability and to permit maintenance of a good electrophotographic characteristic even under high humidity by using an amino group-contg. silane coupling agent as an essential component of an intermediate layer. CONSTITUTION:Se-As photoconductive layers, intermediate layer, and low resistance protective layer are provided on a conductive base. The amino-group contg. silane coupling agent is used as the essential component of the intermediate layer. The examples of such silane coupling agent include aminosilane, gamma-(2-aminoethyl)aminopropyl trimethoxysilane, gamma-(2-aminoethyl)aminopropyl methyldimethoxysilane, N-beta-(N-vinyl benylaminoethyl)-gamma-aminopropyl trimethoxysilane, etc. The resistance power to electrical, physical or chemical damages, hence durability are thereby improved and the good electric chargeability is maintained even under high humidity. |
