PURPOSE:To eliminate backlash and prevent lag in rotation at the time of regular or reverse rotation by dividing at least either of the gears meshing with each other into two rows, and fixing one of the divided gear sections with adjustability in the rotating direction of rotary shaft. CONSTITUTION:A gear 5 is mounted on one of the rotary shafts 1, and divided gear sections 6, 7 divided into two rows meching with said gear 5 are fixed to the other rotary shaft 2. These two rows of gear sections 6, 7 contact different flanks mating to each other with respect to the gear 5 to provide the condition that backlash is substantially zero. In this manner, contacting condition with backlash zero is maintained, and the gear 5 is fixed to the rotary shaft 1 so as to rotate as in a single piece owing to a key 8. The gear section 6 is fixed to the shaft 2 by another key 9, while the one 7 is fixed so that the location is adjustable in the rotating direction owing to a span ring 10.
