PURPOSE:To make it possible to fabricate a large scale, high output cell with long life, low cost material by using one or two of an interconnector, an oxygen electrode, and a fuel electrode to increase the thickness. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen electrode 1, a solid electrolyte 2, and a fuel electrode 3 are stacked in an interconnector 4 to form a cell. One or two of these components is or are used to increase the thickness. For example, the thickness of the interconnector 4 is increased to form the support of the cell. A current path 9 in the inter-connector 4 is the half of gas supply passage width 10 and electric resistance is decreased. Therefore, the cell can be formed with perovskite oxide containing Sr or Fe which is long life and excellent as construction material although conductivity is somewhat low. By this method, a large scale, high output cell can be fabricated at low cost. |
