According to the invention a fluorescence collector (1) is provided as information sign, which is inscribed and can be illuminated by means of light sources (11) which are coupled to edges (10) of the fluorescence collector plate. The light sources (11) are fed by an accumulator (storage battery) (9) which is recharged by means of solar cells (4) which are likewise coupled to an edge (5) of the fluorescence collector (1) and, when the sign need not be illuminated, convert the incident ambient light into electric current to be stored in the accumulator (9). <IMAGE>
