The invention relates to a device for holding and stretching footwear with a clamping block, on which a part bearing the last, a clamping lever mechanism, and, via the clamping lever mechanism, a heel part, which is movable in relation to the last part, are mounted, a) the last (1) being fastened rigidly at one end of a double lever (2) which is mounted pivotably about an axis (5) on the clamping block (6), b) a rail (10) being articulated at the other end of the double lever (2), which rail is guided with its other end section in a slide guide (12, 13) in the clamping block (6), c) the heel part (3) designed as a double lever being mounted on the last part (2) pivotably about an axis (4), d) a steering lever (7) being articulated at one of its ends on the clamping block (6) and its other end on the heel part (3), the axis (8) of articulation of the steering lever (7) lying on the heel part (3) between the axes (4) and (5), e) an automatic pawl locking-mechanism for changing directions being provided in the clamping block (6), with a shiftable pawl (16) which is mounted pivotably about an axis (15) in the clamping block (6) and which can be engaged in a toothing (14) on the rail (10), and all axes (4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 15) being parallel according to Patent 3730850. Characteristic of the invention is that the front part (1a) of the last (1) which is adapted to the shoe shape is fastened detachably by means of an insertion connection (16) in the manner of a tongue and groove connection. <IMAGE>
